Summer Enrichment Brochure 2009
Two-weeks of group instruction for beginning, intermediate-beginning, and intermediate-advanced violin and viola students. Students will meet in the morning on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from June 15th-26th.
Ensemble classes will be held at the following location:

Students who wish to secure a spot for lessons in the fall will be required to pay an $80 registration fee ($110 for families where there is more than one student). Registration is pro-rated for students who begin in the middle of the year. Registration and tuition is non refundable.
Parents who are interested in violin lessons for their student should plan on attending Parent Orientation. Contact Lisa Watkins at 421-9161 about attending the next Parent Orientation session.

Summer 2009 Group Lesson Information:
Group lessons will resume June 8th and be held at the following location:
Heritage Presbyterian Church, 880 South 35th Street (35th & F St.)
Beginning Group Lessons: Monday night, 6:30-7:15 p.m. beginning June 8th until the Children’s Zoo concert in the summer (usually in July). Every Monday night except July 6th. No group lesson on July 6th.
Advanced Group Ensemble: Monday night, 7:15-8:30 p.m., 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27. Every Monday except July 6th. No Advanced Group Ensemble on July 6th.
Performance schedule:
Thursday, July 23rd, 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Clark Jeary Retirement Center, 8401 South 33rd St.
Thursday, July 30th, 12Noon-1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Foundation Gardens at 14th & N St.

Suzuki Book 1-3 students are invited to perform at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo on Saturday, July 18th from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The performance takes place on the stage in “Zooville Square” (near Safari Cafe).
No Suzuki Book 1-3 group lessons are held in the summer after the Children’s Zoo Play-In (July 18th).

Students are invited to perform in recitals which are held each semester. Recitals are held at Union College in Engel Recital Hall at 48th & Bancroft on the 2nd floor. Sign up at your lesson.
May 3rd, 2009 Spring Recital Participants
Other recitals that students may perform in are hosted by Lincoln Music Teacher’s Association. A spring recital will be held on Sunday, May 4th at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Community Evangelical Church, 6843 South Street. There is a small fee of $2.50 per student. There is also an Honor Recital after Festival on Saturday, May 17th for any student who earns a “1″ rating at the Festival. No charge for the Honor Recital.
